Don Ellingsworth Sensei

Don Ellingsworth teaches the Monday night fundamentals classes. He was promoted to Sandan (third degree black belt) in 2001. He began his training at the University of Florida in 1989 and has been a student of Messores Sensei since 1993.

A major Aikido focus for Don regards ukemi (the art of receiving the throw). His dynamic Monday night beginner and intermediate classes clearly emphasize the finer points of ukemi that students of many levels find useful.

He is the Chief Information Officer for a local investment firm. He is an avid computer programmer who enjoys most aspects of technology. Don manages the dojo computer and helps with the Jihonjuku academy website.

He has been married to his wife Lori since 1990, and they have two children, Jarod and Jessica.
